Ostend-Bruges Airport appoints Cargo Development Director

Ostend-Bruges Airport announced on 09OCT25, that it has appointed Johan Leunen as its Cargo Development Director. Leunen has a strong connection to the Belgian cargo market, having previously held the position of Senior Business & Development Manager Cargo at Brussels Airport for 12 years, until earlier this year. In total, he can draw from over 23 years of air cargo experience in cargo handling, forwarding, and airport development. His career began in 2000, in operations, and took him through customer support and sales management positions, including consultancy and auditing as an independent consultant, as well as business development responsibilities in the forwarding sector.

Together with Cargo Sales Director, Rose Yiqian QIU, and Egis Group Director of Cargo Strategy, Steven Verhasselt. Johan Leunen will work to attract new cargo airlines to Ostend-Bruges Airport, develop its cargo services, and be instrumental in implementing Ostend-Bruges Airport’s cargo growth strategy
