Challenge Group appoints Technical Director

Challenge Group announced this week that it has appointed Petur Thor Gudjonsson as Technical Director at its MRO subsidiary, Challenge Technic. Gudjonsson takes on the role at the Challenge Technic base in Reykjavik, Iceland. He joined Challenge Technic as a Safety Manager in NOV23, and brings over 20 years of experience in Line Maintenance. Having trained at the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology, before the turn of the Millennium, Gudjonsson has since held Engineering and Shift Team Lead positions at known companies such as Air Atlanta, SO Tech, Wow Air, and GMT. He is well-versed in dealing with both Boeing and Airbus fleets, which Challenge Group underlines makes him the perfect fit to lead Challenge Technic’s expanding technical operations.“Since joining the Group, Petur has consistently excelled in roles focused on Safety and Quality, showcasing exceptional dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards.
