Lufthansa Cargo has a new Vice President Asia-Pacific

Having stepped down from Qatar Airways Cargo as Vice President Network Planning and Strategic Partnership just a couple of months ago, the secret as to where she was heading has now been revealed: Elodie Berthonneau has been appointed Vice President Asia-Pacific for Lufthansa Cargo and will thus take over from long-standing Florian J. Pfaff in what is one of the cargo airline’s most important regions. Her new responsibility begins on 01OCT24, and she will be based in Singapore. Sales and Handling operations in key markets such as China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Oceania, fall under her management. Her 25+ years of aviation and air cargo experience, working for professional airlines such as Air France KLM Cargo and Martinair Cargo as well as British Airways in addition to almost a decade at Qatar Airways Cargo, have taken her to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Her previous management positions included responsibilities in sales, pricing, profit management, strategic planning, building start-ups, restructuring organizations, network redesign, major strategic partnerships and people management.

Anand Kulkarni, Head of Global Markets at Lufthansa Cargo, announced: “We are happy to welcome Elodie Berthonneau as Head of Asia Pacific. The Asian region is one of our most important markets and is expected to become even more relevant in the coming years. Combining her expertise and experience within the industry and the Lufthansa Cargo brand and knowledge, she will set new accents in our Asia Pacific organization and in the dialogue with our customers.
