Which is good news for Swiss WorldCargo as Cargologic takes care of its handling over at the airline’s Zurich hub. But it is also no great surprise, given the two companies’ strong focus on quality and safety for one of their most important cargo commodities. Both have been CEIV Pharma re-certified more than once. In fact, Cargologic was among the first to achieve IATA’s CEIV Pharma certification at the Zurich hub, exactly ten years ago. It was re-certified in 2022 and again this year, proving that its standards are very high. It also holds Swissmedic GDP compliance since 2014. Swiss WorldCargo was first CEIV Pharma certified in 2018, followed by re-certification in 2021 and 2024. “These milestones place Swiss WorldCargo among a selected small group of airlines that maintain full CEIV Pharma certification,” says the press release. Re-certification follows strict auditing that examines all handling and training processes, facilities, and commodity-specific requirements on site. Particularly when it comes to pharmaceuticals, quality and correct handling are of the utmost importance since failure to ensure product integrity can have fatal consequences.
