Eric St Amand has been named as the new Chief Operating Officer Americas for ECS Group, as the GSSA grows its leadership team as well as its regional services. Drawing on 27 years of international experience in supply chain management, transportation and logistics, St Amand will be responsible for ECS Group’s operations across the Americas, liaising with regional teams, airline partners and the wider commercial network, with a view on further expansion and operational growth. He joins ECS Group from Geodis, where he was Americas Vice President and President of Geodis Supply Chain Optimization. ECS Group’s Americas focus is on expanding its footprint and acting on air cargo opportunities across North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. St Amand succeeds Paco Ortega, who will remain in Miami during the handover transition. Following that, Ortega will move to working on ECS Group’s strategic projects.
