Six months after starting to offer the capacity of its flights across its 145+ destinations on WebCargo by Freightos in MAR26, Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services has now decided to expand to a second booking marketplace and also join CargoAi. Here, too, it will be able to offer real-time rate visibility and eBooking capabilities, reaching the 30,000+ freight forwarders across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, that use CargoAi. They immediately gain seamless access to the airline’s General Cargo and Express services both on the platform’s CargoMART marketplace as well as through its CargoCONNECT direct connections to leading Transport Management Systems (TMS).

Furthermore, the integration enables Ethiopian Cargo to leverage CargoAi’s interline capabilities, facilitating more efficient and transparent collaboration with airline partners through digital interline bookings and shared capacity management,” the release discloses, going on to underline that the technology expert “is building on the extensive data connections already established with airlines, freight forwarders, GHAs and airports by deploying AI workers and AI agents designed to automate and optimize air cargo workflows across its ecosystem”.

Dereje Derero, Managing Director of Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, stated: “Digitalization is a key pillar of Ethiopian Cargo’s long-term strategy. Partnering with CargoAi allows us to bring our services closer to freight forwarders worldwide by offering a modern, seamless booking experience. This step reinforces our commitment to innovation and to delivering agile, data-driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of the global air cargo industry.”

Matthieu Petot, CEO of CargoAi, commented: “We are proud to welcome Ethiopian Cargo to the CargoAi ecosystem. Ethiopian Cargo is a global leader in air cargo operations, and this partnership reflects a shared ambition to drive digital excellence. By enabling real-time access to capacity and pricing, we are empowering forwarders while strengthening Ethiopian Cargo’s global reach and digital visibility.”
