Philippine Airlines opts for IBS Software’s iCargo

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has selected IBS Software’s iCargo to replace its existing cargo system – a move that will bring cargo sales, ground handling and revenue accounting together on a single cloud-based platform. The system will cover both domestic and international operations. For PAL, the change promises tangible day-to-day gains. Shipments will be processed faster and more reliably, with less manual intervention and more streamlined workflows. Stronger data analytics and end-to-end shipment visibility will give teams a clearer picture of what is moving across the network and where. The platform also has built-in support for international requirements such as customs reporting, duties and taxes settlement, and regulatory compliance. Those operational improvements will benefit customers too. Better visibility and dependable service should help PAL Cargo deliver on its ‘Care that Delivers’ promise, offering a smoother experience and one that inspires confidence in the product.

Jason Siy, Vice President for Cargo Business, Philippine Airlines, stated: “This initiative represents an important step in the modernisation of our cargo business, As we grow across our domestic and international network, we need a system that increases visibility, improves operational efficiency and enables us to deliver a better experience for our customers. We see iCargo as a key enabler of our long-term cargo transformation strategy and of our ambition to build an even stronger cargo business for the future.”

Sunil George, Vice President & Region Head of Oceania, IBS Software, commented: “Philippine Airlines has a clear vision for the future of its cargo business, and we are proud to support that journey. This partnership is about more than implementing a new cargo platform. It is about working closely with PAL to build the digital foundation for future growth, innovation and operational excellence, and continuing a relationship we value deeply.”
