Jettainer announced Shailendar Kothari’s successor at TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum in Miami, last week. The new Managing Director of Jettainer Americas has been named as Pinar Meitzner. After 7 years with the company, Kothari will be retiring at the end of this year. He can look back on a strong streak of success in developing Jettainer’s business and commercial relationships across the Americas. Meitzner therefore inherits an established team. She joins Jettainer following a 2.5-year stint at DO & CO, where she was Head of Commercials USA. Prior to that, she spent almost a decade with Lufthansa Group, including roles such as VP Sales & Services at LSG Sky Chefs first in Frankfurt, then in Atlanta. Her time at Spiriant in Frankfurt, from 2010 to 2015, where she was VP Sales, Design & Engineering, adds to her experience in developing airline connections and international customer networks. Her responsibilities cover both North and South America, where the company is focused on expansion.

Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt, CEO of Jettainer, said: “Pinar brings extensive airline expertise, a strong international network and a deep understanding of our industry. These qualities will be a great asset as we continue to develop our activities in the Americas. We continue to see attractive opportunities throughout North and South America and are committed to further strengthening our presence across the region. I would [also] like to thank Shailendar Kothari for his outstanding commitment and contribution to Jettainer over the years. He has played an important role in developing our business in the Americas and leaves a strong foundation for the future.”
Pinar Meitzner commented: “I am delighted to join Jettainer and lead its business in the Americas. Having worked closely with airlines for many years, I understand the importance of reliable partnerships. I look forward to working with our team, customers and partners to strengthen our relationships and grow the business together.”
Shailendar Kothari, stated: “It has been a privilege to be part of Jettainer and to work alongside our customers and colleagues. I am proud of what we have achieved together and of the strong relationships we have built over the years. What I will remember most are the dedicated people I have had the pleasure to work with across Jettainer and throughout the industry. I am delighted to hand over responsibility to Pinar and am confident that she and the team will continue building on this strong foundation and take Jettainer Americas forward.”
