Cold-chain solutions provider, Envirotainer, recently announced that it is actively enhancing its Americas network, across both the North and the South. This expansion strategy is in response to increasingly dispersed pharmaceutical supply chains and shifting demand and trade routes. It has now opened a second facility in Los Angeles so as to provide greater local access to ground handling and repair of its ULD and Prooftainer containers, plus Parcel Rental and Sales services. In has invested in dedicated Parcel facilities in Philadelphia, along with additional warehouse space, new equipment and larger safety stocks for quicker fulfilment and better product availability. A new site has been located in Montevideo, to which Envirotainer is planning to move to in OCT27. This will enable it to provide more reliable services to Latin American customers. Overall, the investments aim to strengthen the infrastructure behind temperature-controlled logistics, helping ensure medicines reach patients worldwide safely and reliably.
Barbara Morgan, Regional President, Americas at Envirotainer, explained: “Supply chain resilience is ultimately about giving our customers confidence that the right solutions, capabilities and expertise will be available when and where they need them. Our continued investment in the Americas is a direct response to how pharmaceutical supply chains are changing. By strengthening our network and expanding our local capabilities, we are helping customers navigate uncertainty, adapt to changing demand and maintain continuity across their supply chains.” Aymeric Chandavoine, CEO at Envirotainer, added: “The Americas is a strategically important region for pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution and innovation, and our customers are looking for partners that can support them as their supply chains evolve. These investments strengthen our ability to be closer to our customers, provide faster access to solutions and expertise, and deliver the operational flexibility they need. By continuing to invest in our network, we are building the resilience required not only to support today’s pharmaceutical supply chains, but also to help our customers prepare for what comes next.”
